The film boasts an impressive production line-up, featuring Li Shuqin, the director of Foshan Cantonese Opera Troupe, a national first-class performer and a winner of the China Theatre Plum Blossom Award, who performed as Bai Suzhen. Meanwhile, the renowned Hong Kong Cantonese opera actor Law Ka-ying plays Xu Xian, under direction of the national first-class director, Yin Dawei. This film received multiple nominations at the 2nd Hong Kong Bauhinia International Film Festival, including Best Film and Best Art Direction. Li Shuqin won Best Actress Award while Law Ka-ying received Lifetime Achievement Award.

Sara Baras, one of Spain's most popular flamenco stars, will bring to Hong Kong her company's latest work "Vuela". The company last visited Hong Kong in 2015 with three full-house performances.Celebrated for her brilliant footwork and captivating stage presence, Sara Baras was trained by many great masters. Between 1988 and 1998, she was a guest dancer with Antonio Canales, Eduardo Serrano ("El Güito"), Rancapino y Familia and more. In 1998, she set up her own dance company, Ballet Flamenco Sara Baras. She has won most of the important flamenco awards in Spain and has featured in an array of films.
