The Nile River gave birth to ancient Egypt civilisation. This longest river in the world watered crops and nurtured ancient Egyptians, thus creating their beautiful culture. South to the prominent trading centre Aswan in the River Nile, there is an island called Philae. The Temple of Isis used to be there, witnessing the ups and downs of ancient Egypt.

When the construction of the Aswan Dam kicked off, most of Philae was flooded like the then Baidicheng in the Three Gorges in China. The temple was dismantled and moved to nearby Agilkia Island to avoid the destiny of disappearance from this water conservancy construction.
