HKIA “World of Winners” Tickets Giveaway Campaign: Licensed Travel Agents Application Information (ENDED)

Campaign Background

  • Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong (The Council) is entrusted to distribute more than 50,000 free inbound or outbound roundtrip ticket quotas to licensed travel agents in Hong Kong. Cathay Pacific Airways (CX), Hong Kong Airlines (HX) and Hong Kong Express Airways (UO) are the participating carriers of the campaign.

 

We are distributing these ticket quotas in phases. Please refer to below table:

1. ELIGIBILITY 

1A. Inbound

  1. Licensed Travel Agents granted under (Travel Agents Ordinance), and providing inbound travel services
  2. Applicant must have organised and served at least 3 inbound tours from the selected city to Hong Kong during the period April, 2018 to March, 2023; or
    • 10 or more participants in same itinerary will be treated as a group tour.
  3. Applicant must have organised and served at least 30 individual travelers (FIT) from the selected city to Hong Kong during the period  April, 2018 to March, 2023

⚠️ ** Applicant should prepare above documentation proof at time of submission for the Council random check. Applicant is required to provide these proof within 24 hours upon the request from the Council.

  1. Licensed Travel Agents granted under (Travel Agents Ordinance), and providing outbound travel services.

2. APPLICATION PROCEDURES

 

  1. Online application through  tourism  resources platform [GreaterGO] (www.greatergo.org) only;
  2. Applications must be submitted by manager grade or above. 
  3. A maximum of 3 cities are allowed for each round of submission under the inbound category and 1 submission under the outbound category. Successful applicant will be awarded for a maximum of 3 cities for the entire campaign.

3. Undertakings 

 

  1. Travel agent staff should not participate for redemption of any free tickets.
  2. Mainland China and Overseas Inbound Market (except for Greater Bay Area): Redemption of free ticket must be sold together with the items below- 
    • “Buy One Get One” offer, to sell another ticket with same destination, same flight and date upon redemption; and
    • Hotel accommodation and travel related product or transportation service in Hong Kong.
  3. Greater Bay Area/ Hong Kong Market: Redemption of free ticket must be sold together with the items below - 
    • “Buy One Get One” offer, to sell another ticket with same destination,  same flight and date upon redemption; and
    • Hotel accommodation and travel related product or transportation service at the destination.
  4. No administration fee shall be imposed for free ticket redemption; however, reasonable fees may apply on other items;
  5. All air tickets are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-rebookable and non-reroutable;
  6. *Travel agents must publicise HKIA "World of Winners Tickets Giveaway Campaign" in the departure city through the following channels:
    1. Social media, Webpage or Leaflets or brochures; and
    2. Digital marketing- FaceBook Ads, SEO, GDN etc.
      • enlightenedGreaterGo launched a digital marketing campaign for this event (including advertising and publishing various social media posts on Facebook, Instagram, Weibo, WeChat, and composing contents on the GreaterGo platform). Applicant who is a member of “GreaterGo” will automatically fulfil this requirement.
  7. All free tickets not redeemed within the designated period will be forfeited;
  8. Successful applicant is required to submit a report to The Council in specified format within one month after the redemption period.
  9. Applicant understands the consequences of providing false, invalid, or inaccurate information, as well as intentionally omitting or concealing any important information, and commits to notify The Council immediately in writing if such circumstances arise.
  10. Applicant commits to fully cooperate with the review of the travel agency's application by The Council, including submitting all relevant documents, files, records, etc. as required.
  11. Applicant understands and accepts any details related to the " World of Winners Tickets Giveaway Campaign" and The Council reserves the right of final decision.

 

* Note: Travel agents who fail to provide interim and final proof of oversea promotional material will be disqualified from applications for the entire campaign.
