Many people love spending their weekends in country parks for picnic or hiking, as a way to stay close to mother nature. Zhongshan people are no exception. Weekends, for Zhongshan locals, mean a great time for gathering and hiking. Zimaling Park is one of the largest country parks in Guangdong. In the Ming and Qing dynasty, it was a place for those from well-off families to enjoy a horse ride. It is named “Zimaling” because a famous horse was buried here. The park is now a place for leisure with artificial gardens and natural scenery. It is like the “green lung of the city” where birds sing in the scent of flowers and plants. Besides viewing birds and flowers, you can also have a closer look at the sculptures in the sculpture garden and stones inscribed with poems in the Moya Garden. Or, you can wear traditional Chinese garment with your companion to visit around the park for a touch of the Lingnan style.

The Music & Laughs Concert unfolds in four chapters, traversing music, laughter, and human connection. Whether it’s the grandeur of orchestral music, the emotional resonance of pop music, the whimsical creativity of stage performance, or the humour woven into urban life, each becomes a sincere—and sometimes delightfully wild—firsthand experience. A group of cross-disciplinary artists gathers for this evening: creators, musicians, singers, dancers, and a new generation of actors and comedians—all offering their own unique answers to the question: What is comedy? Tonight, you will laugh—but not only laugh.

Resident Conductor of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra Quek Ling Kiong will take the audience to a fun and interesting musical adventure to explore on the kaleidoscope of percussion instruments. Along the journey, we will hear beautiful pieces such as A Musical Adventure, Radetzky-Marsch and Golden Snake Dance etc. Let’s explore the colorful Percussion Kaleidoscope together!

The words of lyricist Cheng Kwok-kong have warmed the hearts of generations of Hong Kongers. In this concert, we collaborate with the Hong Kong Children's Choir to recreate the childhood moments of Purity listening to Cheng's songs, including 'The Legend of Wonder Lady', 'The Understudy',' Hope', and 'Reverie' etc.
